To start off 2021, the team took part in the Angel Challenge from Startup Norway. This pairs some of the world’s best investors and innovators with like-minded startups, to create successful relationships and outcomes. Shellock earned the award after being the first to close an investment of 2 000 000 kr to continue development of the eShell, ready for Pilot Programmes in the summer of 2021.
The Flow Acceleration program brought Shellocks for the first time into Norway, introducing them to their logistics and shipping partners. Pitching the final product resulted in awarding the 1st place at the final demo day, to round off a fantastic 2020 for the team.
With the themes of maritime, logistics, and sustainability being critical to the government and the national industry of Panama, this was an event focused on finding startups who shared these values, to enhance the effectiveness of the Panama Canal. Shellock again placed 1st in the Demo Week, and received a seed investment as a result of the teams work.
More than 120 Startups from 3 continents took part in this 12 week programme of mentoring, networking and product development. Shellock placed 1st after competing against other innovative solutions and being selected by a panel of experts from Santander Bank. The award was tailored advice and consultancy services to supercharge the progress of the venture.
This was Shellock’s first event where the team got together for the first time. The Startup Weekend organised by Techstars and in collaboration with key industry partners and the Ports of Barcelona and Tarragona. The jury conformed by professionals with different backgrounds awarded us the 2nd place. This milestone was the first step in our journey.
